Time for a shave

I had a lazy weekend. I deserved it. I read the papers (some anyway) for the first time in ages. Now, we all know that too much work makes Jack a dull boy but when there's work you've got to take it. I'm staying positive, I don't know what work I'll have in 6 months but I'm focussing on the good things. For instance I'm away from my family for 3 days but I'm working in a vibrant city and with a great bunch of people. I travel early but I've seen some beautiful sunrises. It's money in the bank for our family holiday in Spain in a few weeks. ...and I get to take more pictures from high up!
I'm also feeling a bit sluggish, not doing enough exercise. I've not played football with Rob and the boys for weeks due to a groin strain (sorry if theres too much info here) but after a visit to the docs it turns out to be a hernia! Bloody hell. Apparently the op is a quckie, possibly in and out same day. However I'm a hairy fella and it may take most of the day to shave me(if they know where to stop). Quite looking forward to that bit. Hoping for a 23 year old female nurse but knowing my luck I'll get a sweaty Turkish wrestler with a switch blade. Wonder if it'll remind me of pre puberty. Might be a good time to get a tattoo.

Of course it's a kite!

In keeping with my passion for looking up I enjoyed flying this kite on a very blustery day (as poo bear would say)
When I first intended to shoot this the sky way clear blue but by the time I got my act together the sky had turned grey. This actually helped me strip the short clips together without the 'joins' being too noticable. The soundtrack is Friday's Dust by The Doves
Hope you like it.

Bad Blogger

Oh forgive me for I have sinned. It's been 2 weeks since my last blog and and all my friend have probably gone. Work work work and more bloody work. I'm working away from home a lot at the moment, well half the week and it just robs me of quality time to do the things I want to do, and my family want me to do. It'd be very easy to get very selfish but I have others to think about and anyway it's nice to be loved. I'm feeling my age a bit at the moment too. I've not played football for 3 weeks! unforgiveable but my injuries won't go away. Rob's cycling to his new job and getting fitter and fitter and I'm hobbling. At this rate he might be running faster than me soon and that just won't do! On a lighter note I've enjoyed a quick trip around my virtual friends so thanks for being there, a bit like having my sisters and family round, they all sit there for hours without saying anything much, very unnerving at times. But of course you're not silent and the debate is alive and stimulating and when my bus stops for a munite I'm gonna get off and enjoy the company.

It's a miriacle

It's a miracle, I'm cured! One minute I was close to death and now I can breath and everything. That 'man cold' affliction can be really serious, you girls should be grateful that it doesn't affect you, take it from me it you wouldn't like it.
Thanks for your sympathy Rosemary, here's a vacation for you. Lie back and take it easy.
I need a holiday.
